Fox Construction - Our Process
During our initial consultation, typically held at the project site, we will listen to what you have in mind and answer any questions you have. We will discuss if design services are needed, and we may take measurements and photos to help us develop a cost estimate.
If design services are needed, Fox Construction will coordinate the project with your architect or designer. If you are not yet working with a design professional, Fox Construction has developed strong working relationships with architects and designers in the area, and we can put you in touch with one of them.
During the design process, we will provide you with a rough cost estimate, and upon completion of the project design, we will gather more detail from sub-contractors and provide you with a detailed proposal, including a basic timeline and draw schedule.
If you decide to go ahead with the project, we will sign the construction contract, and start work. We begin preparing for your project by securing building permits, ordering materials, and setting up schedules. At this time you will make your product selections. Depending on the size and scope of your project, home remodeling can take anywhere from a few weeks to months of work.
Ongoing and frequent communication is critical to a smooth construction process. We will update you regularly on our progress, answer any questions you have, and clean up the work area and tools at the close of each day. We will prepare and discuss with you any change orders that come up during construction so that you are aware of any price changes as they occur.
We understand that the work area is your home, and we do our best to minimize disruption. As we near completion of the project, we will walk through the project with you , prepare a list of touch up and repair items, and we will address them to your satisfaction.
